Meet Carol

Carol Jarrett is a vibrant soprano from Enid, Oklahoma known for her lyrical tone, rich coloratura, and compelling presence onstage. She brings authenticity and joy to each performance, connecting deeply with audiences through elegant musical storytelling.


Her most recent role was Jenny Smith in Kurt Weill’s Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny with OU University Theatre (March 2025), where she was praised for her emotional nuance and commanding vocal presence. Carol sang Miss Jessel in Britten’s The Turn of the Screw at the Trentino Music Festival (Summer 2024), and she has performed as the soprano soloist in St. John Passion by J.S. Bach and Haydn’s Kyrie Mass. Other performance highlights include serving as the “Voice of OU” at the University of Oklahoma’s 2023 commencement and singing the National Anthem at the National Air Force Convention: Tinker and the Primes.


In Summer 2025, she joins Opera in the Ozarks as Valencienne in The Merry Widow, Rapunzel and Grandma in Into the Woods, and ensemble in The Merry Widow.


Ms. Jarrett has placed in several competitions, including semifinalist at Texoma NATS (2024), 3rd Place in the Benton-Schmidt Vocal Competition, and 4th Place in the Oklahoma City Ladies Music Club Competition.

Scene and outreach credits include Elettra in Mozart’s Idomeneo, and directing and performing in scenes from Mozart’s The Magic Flute and The Impresario. She also performed as the Second Lady in an abridged version of The Magic Flute as part of a university outreach project, and sang in the chorus for multiple OU opera productions.


She began her professional journey at Westminster Choir College as a Young Artist in the CoOPERAtive Program, where she sang scenes as Galatea in Händel’s Acis and Galatea, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, and Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte.


Ms. Jarrett is passionate about sharing stories that inspire joy, reflection, and connection through music, and she continues to grow her craft with a deep commitment to authenticity, elegance, and vibrant expression.
